We have vast resources waiting to be developed to its fullest, dynamic culture and heritage, good governance, peace, unity and cooperation and concern for each other, and for our environment and tribal people. Let us be one in our journey towards developing our beloved town. There is no place like HOME. Let us leave a legacy that the coming generation may say to us, that we led them to a better, brighter, and safer MALUNGON. “

“Finally, let me take this opportunity to thank our partners, for in the next Foundation Anniversary, we will have a new official to hear about his accomplishments. Allow me this chance for my last valedictory address to thank our partners, whom without them, we (Malungonians) would not achieved the gains we have these days.

I especially thank DIR. AMALIA DATUKAN of the Department of Agriculture who favored us with untiring support. Sa lahat ng mga tumulong sa ilalim ng programang pang-agricultura, Farm to Market Roads at PRDP Project, mraming salamat po.

To the Department of Social Welfare and Development through DIRECTOR BAI ZORAHAYDA TAHA; for all the support and projects through the KALAHI-CIDSS, the Pantawid Program, MCCT-IP, Sustainable Livelihood Programs (SLP), the BUB projects, support to ECCD-the Supplemental Feeding, Crisis Center, Productivity Livelihood and Training Center, Day Care Centers and many, many more, maraming salamat po.

To the Department of Health, thru DIRECTOR TEOGENES BALUMA for the construction of our health facility and its enhancements, for the establishment of our 6 birthing homes including the main health center, which is now on-going. We have 3 on-going additional BHS-Birthing Facility under construction, Tamban, San Roque and Banate. And for next year, Malungon Gamay, Thank you po ng marami.

To the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation thru DR. ANTOINETTE LADIO, and DR. MIRIAM GRACE G. PAMONAG, Regional Vice President of PHIC for guiding us to become a more effective health provider that is sustainable with the accreditation and revenue in form of capitation fund. You helped us to become a better health service provider, thank you very much.

To the Department of Interior and Local Government, Regional Director REYNALDO BUNGUBUNG and Sir FLOR LIMPIN, PLGOO, for patiently assisting and guiding us, and for our SALINTUBIG PROJECTS. I look forward to the additional funding of the Kiblat-Kalonbarak Salintubig Project. Thank you also for helping us prepare for the Proposed Slaughterhouse from the DILG Performance Challenge Fund for the Seal of Good Local Governance. In addition to the BUB approved Slaughterhouse project. Thank you po.

To VICE PRESIDENT JEJOMAR BINAY for favoring us with the 100 Units IP Village Project for the Blaan tribe worth 10 Million in Kalonbarak. There is a notice to proceed with the project, which was already served. We are still preparing for the next phase and we hope we could still avail of the 2nd set of 100 units for the Kaulo Tribe.

To the DAR Regional Director Nasser Musali, thank you for the ARC Road Concreting Project at 5.9 Million each for Datal Bila, Upper Biangan and Datal Tampal, with support from the Italian Government, and 1 unit P750,000 foot bridge at Mateo, Brgy. Atlae.

To the Philippine Coconut Authority, DIRECTOR TEOTIMO C. JALOS for the concreting of road from Junction at the National Highway to Barangay Banahaw, Thank you po.

To the Office of the President-PCW-AECID Project, thru EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR EMMELINE VERZOSA for the Magna Carta of Women implementation, and for the capacity building and technical assistance extended.

MR. ED KARL GALING, Country Program Director of World Bank implementing Water and Sanitation Program with MS. BERNADETTE UNDANGAN who tirelessly coordinated with all efforts for our Zero Open Defecation.

To our peacekeeping forces, the Philippine National Police through the OIC-Provincial Commander, SR. SUPT. EMMANUEL B. PERALTA, our very own POLICE INSPECTOR JAIME TABUCON, the 1002nd Brigade of the Philippine Army led by BRIGADE COMMANDER COL. RONALD C. VILLANUEVA, for the stable peace and order in our municipality.

To MS. JOYCE LORELLA, the OIC-Branch Head of Land Bank of the Philippines, Nat’l Highway, for partnering with us. The automated teller machine here in the municipal hall has been of great help.

To DR. ISAGANI S. DELA CRUZ, Schools Division Superintendent of the Department of Education for truly looking into the concerns of our upland schools; DIR. IBRAHIM K. GUIAMADEL, Regional Director of the Department of Trade and Industry for the livelihood skills training for and its implements for the veggie noodle making.

Our friend and higher health facility partners DR. BENJAMIN PAGARIGAN, Chief of Hospital of Gen. Santos City District Hospital and DR. RENATO DIAGAN, Medical Director of Diagan’s Cooperative Hospital for accommodating our referrals of needy patients to their facility.

Our NGOO Partners, SIR JOJO JOSON of Sagittarius Mines with MA’AM BELLA LENCHONSITO for SMI’s unwavering support in our development efforts, in Education, Health, Sanitation and Nutrition and also, with the Livelihood Fund for the Sow Project for the MCW amounting to P1,537,000.

To the Philippine Drug Emforcement Agency-Region XII, with the able leadership of DIRECTOR AILEEN LOVITOS, for all the support extended in our effort to eradicate illegal drugs.

To PROVINCIAL ENVIRONMENT & NATURAL RESOURCES OFFICER SIR ROLANDO TUBALLES, MA’AM ELVIRA LUMAYAG, OIC CENRO for the national greening program and for putting Malungon in the international map last Sept. 22, 2014’s tree planting activity at Brgy. San Miguel, and Arbor Day, at Brgy. Kinabalan. Salamat po.

To the Department of energy for the solar panels to areas without power energy or electricity; Engr. CRISANTO C. SOTELO, Gen. Manager of SOCOTECO II thru Board of Dir. RICARDO PADERNAL for expanding the power supply to the far flung sitios of Malungon, Thank You.

To Ms. FANNY DIVINO, Program Manager of Save the Children together with all their project coordinators and workers; Sir MARIO VARGAS, Area Coordinator, Ms. MAOU DOMINGUEZ on the sponsorship areas, STANLEYY LLEDO for the First Read Project, Dr. AMADO PARAWAN, In-Charge of their new program on Maternal and Child Health (MCH).

To UNICEF with funding from AUSaid and World Health Organization for the Joint Program on Maternal-Neonatal Health and for their support to ECCD program with supplies and to the Day Care Centerss, Ms. CHECHE OLAYVAR, thank you.

Special Thanks even to Former Governor MIGUEL RENE DOMINGUEZ, for his trust and confidence in my administration, during his incumbency and for leading the path for opening doors for investors and funders to be in Mallungon. 

To DepEd officials, Dir. ALLAN FARNAZO, Superintendent DELA CRUZ, Ms. DONNA and Sir ABLANIDO, 4 District Supervisors, School Administrators both of the elementary and high schools, and even from the private schools in Malungon, maraming salamat po.

To our Tribal leaders and all our lumads, for their trust and cooperation in this administration, BONG Salamat! You are my inspiration in working hard to make Malungon a better place.

My Official Family, our department heads whom I sometimes drive crazy to deliver needed results or beat deadlines; special mention to Mr. Noel Ramos and Staff, my LFC Team, municipal officials and employees, Our Vice Mayor and the members of the Sangguniang Bayan, thank you so much very much. My MMF Family of the Malungon Minesterial Fellowship, for being here to support this administration, to provide spiritual guidance, maraming salamat po.

I would like also to give special thanks to our GOVERNOR STEVE CHIONGBIAN SOLON of the provincial government of Sarangani for all the support, for taking care of the counterpart fund for the PHILIPPINE RURAL DEVELOPMENT PROJECT with Phase-I amounting to P169 Million, the local counterpart was owned up by the Provincial Government amounting to P17Million. Malungon’s share was only in the preparation of all the study, technical requirements which of course needed us to hire 2 more engineers. Also for the 2nd Phase, the LGU’s counterpart is only P8 million, with the P3.5 again to be shouldered by the province. Thank You very much Governor for all the support.

To Vice Governor JINKEE JAMORA-PACQUIAO for your support to education, for leading and showing the way towards moral integrity, and to all the officials and heads of the province.

OF course to my good friend, our CHAMPION and lone REPRESENTATIVE, the HONORABLE EMMANUEL D. PACQUIAO, time and again, I have said this, ven whn he ws not yet a congressmn, he has always supported Malungon. We would have wanted to complete the Phase II of this stage, unfortunately, due to many obstacles, hindi po naihabol and completion nitong building na ito during this celebration. But as you can see, malapit nap o iotng matapos, maraming salamat po Congressman sa project na ‘to.

Last but not the least, of course, my family who stood by me through thick and thin, SALAMAT sa panguunawa, suporta at Pagmamahal…!
