Malandag, Malungon, Saragani Province.

Malandag bago pa man magtapos ang kanyang

(MALUNGON INFORMATION OFFICE).

of Sarangani Province.
The comprising

session held at Lemlunay Diving Resort in Maasim town.
Mayors said the

the case of province, city, municipality, or any other political subdivision,
or by ordinance passed by the Sangguniang Panlalalwigan or Sangguniang
Panglungsod concerned in the case of the barangay located within its
territorial jurisdiction, subject to such limitation as requirements prescribed
by law.
LMP believes
that the creation of 11 barangays of Malungon Sarangani Province namely:
Malandag, Datal Tampal, Altae, Alkikan, Kibala, Malabod, Blaan, Datal Batong,
Datal Bila, Consolation and Nagpan into a municipality to be known as the

the public which is the primordial consideration of the state.
This includes
the verifiable indicators of viability and projected capacity of the abovementioned
barangays to provide services such as income, population and land area for
its'conversion to municipality has been fully satisfied with.
It said the
Local Government of Malungon have initiated its creation into a municipality
since 1995 during the time of former Vice Governor Filipe Constantino, which
firstly appropriated the "much needed funds for the creation of the
municipality including the budget intended for the conduct of a plebiscite that
was supposedly called for the same purpose.
Reports said a
house bill was enacted by former Congressman Erwin L. Chiongbian to facilitate
the creation until it reached the Senate Committee on Local Governance under
the chairmanship of the late Senator Robert Barbers but it has remained to be
stagnant as to this day, despite the fact that Senate Committee hearing has
been made positively for its creation.'
Therefore, it has been resolved by the LMP to request the honorable Congressman Pacquiao to facilitate and expedite its creation, in as soon as possible time.

For his part, Villanueva will do to do all of necessary means and effort to comply with the brewing expectation of the general populace.
Meanwhile, Mayor Reynaldo ‘Bong’ Constantino said his administration will at all times, remain as a well-supportive government agency to the Armed Forces, specifically in its task to maintain peace and harmonious living.
“From a former third class municipality, the presence of soldiers has able to give peace in all over Maln'gan which was then called by many as a haven to cattle rustlers and various lawless groups in the entire South-Central Mindanao region. Due of military presence, our far flung villages were freed of its perennial problem in banditry. Today, as a first class municipality, it is now known not anymore of lawlessness and criminality, but as true leader of progress and development in the entire province of Sarangani. So in behalf of my people, I am extending utmost gratitude to the ample support and protection that the Armed Forces have had showered my town," Constantino opined. (Isagani Palma/ mio-malungon).
