Malandag celebrate 3-day Safkaan Fest

Safkaan, the feast of abundant harvest – Tribal chieftains and women of the Blaan and Tagakaulo’s gesture on stage with their colorful embroidered tribal attire and beadwork accessories, as Malandag Brgy. Chairman Delia F. Constantino, the Provincial Association of the Barangay Captains (PABC) president, delivers a message in honor of the first people during the culmination of 3-day Safkaan Festival in Malandag, Malungon, Sarangani Province. A dance with the E’del – Provincial Tribal chieftain and SB ex-officio representative Edmund Pangilan (Left) plays the E’del, a long wooden musical instrument of the Blaan and Taga-Kaulo tribes, while children and women fashioned in colourful native attire gracefully dances with Malandag Brgy.
