MALUNGON, Sarangani – Tasked by no less her outgoing dad and three-termed Mayor Reynaldo F. Constantino, the lawyer, Atty. Tessa Dadivas-Constantino braced a number of local SB officials in conducting Thursday (December 4), the mayor’s customary work to visit and assess the living conditions of his people that dwells the far most villages in the vicinity.
The young lawyer’s burning commitment, desire, and activeness to serve the underprivileged started to throw light, right after getting Sarangani Rep. Manny D. Pacquiao’s advice (for her) to lead and work for the emblematic preservation and continuance of her father’s excellent leadership, and the hard to equal legacies and presentation in governance.
“Actually, it was indeed a long day's work for the whole team composed by last timer 1st municipal councilor Mariano ‘Jun’ Escalada, incumbent SB members Joseph Calanao and Ben Santos, and former independent opposition councilor-turned People’s Champ Movement member Evelyn ‘Bebing’ Alegario who willingly come to help us,” Atty. Constantino told the press on a Friday stressed telephone interview.
The lawyer Constantino, compared to some nearly similar conditions in the past, told the press how really great, it was to pick up and feel somebody being brought to freedom, specifically in times when they have nowhere to steer for the hills, and in dire need of a helping hand and shoulder to lean on.
Meanwhile, Escalada said aside from the lawyer’s presence to conduct actual observations on field, there was no any innovative incident that has taken place during the nearly whole day activity. He articulated it was purely anchored on the usual systematic scheme that the local government had been doing in past years.
“This was made to simply detect if what sort of assistance that the local villagers need, prior to the actual stretching of any planned LGU-initiated project and programs in the far flung communities, such as the weekly Lingap sa Barangay program of the local government, that has played an accurate part in addressing the peoples’ need in terms of free medical and dental check up, services and consultations,” Escalada explained.
Subsequently all, he said making consultations and of hearing what the people that are living in remote communities actually need, would enable to provide the local government the ample information and ideas for its fervent desire to uplift the existing condition of those in the inland villages, such of today’s visited parts in Barangays Datal Bila and Data Batong that are both fixed at the southernmost part of Sarangani and South Cotabato border lines.
